History of the Internet Site

The internet was first created in the 1960’s as a tool for the military. It allowed armies across the world to communicate faster than they ever had before. Although the internet provided exactly what the military needed at the time it was not until the 1980’s that the world wide web became available for the average person.

It wasn’t until the 1970’s that Universities started using this new technology and it wasn’t still until 1989 that Tim Berners-Lee came up with the idea of the world wide web. So, to be able to understand the internet and the world wide web we need to delve deeper into each individually.
